Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026.

Scope of the Policy and the Products or Services It Covers

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses, training modules, live workshops, and related digital services offered through spotluxmi. These services focus on professional video operation, live signal management, content distribution, camera work, and the creation of reliable high-quality feeds for news programmes and television broadcasting. The policy covers both one-time course purchases and any subscription-based access to ongoing training content. It does not apply to third-party services or physical goods.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Any Additional Charges

All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. Additional charges may arise for optional extras such as certification, extended access periods, or personalised tutoring sessions. These charges are clearly shown at the checkout stage before payment is authorised. Currency conversion fees applied by your payment provider are your responsibility and are not controlled by spotluxmi.

Accepted Payment Methods, Payment Authorisation, and Payment Security

We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital wallets. Payment is authorised at the time of order placement. All transactions are processed through secure third-party payment gateways that comply with PCI DSS standards. spotluxmi does not store full card details. Authorisation may be declined due to insufficient funds, suspected fraud, or bank restrictions; in such cases you will be notified immediately and no contract is formed.

Order, Booking, or Service Confirmation and When a Contract Is Formed

Upon successful payment you will receive an email confirmation containing your order reference and access instructions. A binding contract is formed only when we send this confirmation. Until then, no obligation exists on either side. Access to digital course content is granted immediately after confirmation for eligible purchases, subject to the cancellation rights described below.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Cancellation Periods

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from the date of confirmation to cancel without giving a reason. For digital content, this right ends once you begin downloading or streaming the material, provided you have given prior express consent to start and acknowledged that the right will be lost. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items or Services

Refunds are available for cancellations within the 14-day period where no substantial content has been accessed. Non-refundable items include completed live workshops, personalised feedback sessions, and any promotional bundles where the discount was conditional on non-cancellation. Refunds are not provided for change of mind after content access has begun or for failure to meet technical requirements on your side.

The Step-by-Step Procedure and Information Required to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email [email protected] with your order reference, full name, and reason for cancellation. Include any relevant screenshots or transaction details. Requests must be made within the applicable time limit. We will acknowledge receipt within two working days and provide a reference number for your records.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection, and Notification of the Refund Decision

Each request is reviewed against the eligibility criteria within five working days. You will be notified by email of approval or rejection, together with the reasons if rejected. Approved refunds are processed without further action from you. If you disagree with a decision you may contact us again with additional information for reconsideration.

Refund Method, Processing Time, and When Funds Should Reach the Customer

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing takes up to ten working days after approval, although bank processing may extend this to fourteen days in total. You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been sent. Chargeback fees or currency conversion losses are not reimbursed.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, Services, or Promotional Offers

Digital courses are supplied immediately upon confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Promotional offers are subject to the same cancellation rules unless the offer terms state otherwise. No partial refunds are given for unused portions of a subscription period once the cooling-off period has expired.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks, and Suspected Fraud

Failed payments must be resolved within seven days or the order will be cancelled. Duplicate charges detected by our system are automatically refunded. Chargebacks are investigated; unjustified chargebacks may result in account suspension. Suspected fraud leads to immediate order cancellation and reporting to relevant authorities where required.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the Target Country That the Policy Cannot Exclude

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, or the Payment Services Regulations 2017. These rights cannot be limited or excluded. If any provision of this policy is found to conflict with mandatory law, only that provision is affected and the remainder continues in force.
